Kensington is a great neighborhood in Knoxville. It is incredibly family-friendly, filled with southern hospitality and lots of activities to keep everyone busy!
The neighborhood is primarily made up of newer homes that offer many modern amenities. With large open floor plans, big bedrooms, wonderful kitchens and fabulous bathrooms, the neighborhood is not your average “cookie cutter” neighborhood. Each home is unique and shows off its style in its own way.
As generations have progressed, the trees have grown older and the landscapes more mature, adding to the character of Kensington. Once you have experienced Kensington, you’ll never want to leave. Therefore, you will find that many residents are updating, adding on and planning to make Kensington their forever home. The value in this neighborhood is unbeatable and the families that live there make Kensington an ideal place to call home.
A unique feature of Kensington is the Kensington Women’s Club. The Kensington Women’s Club is a social club open to all women in the subdivision-both Old Kensington and new. The group meets monthly during the school year for coffee. Meetings typically occur on Wednesday mornings. The club also sponsors their annual Holiday Party in December. This is a lively evening with great food and great company for the adults. There are also a number of family-friendly neighborhood activities. Kensington activities also include a school year kick-off and an end of the year party, featuring picnics for the whole family, with music, games, food, and more. Smaller groups organized by the KWC include a monthly book club, two different BUNKO groups, and a supper club.
Kensington is so much more than a just the house you choose to live in. It is a home you will love, neighbors you will befriend, and a group of people that take pride in developing the true meaning of the Knoxville community. As if the atmosphere of Kensington wasn’t enough, many home sites also offer SPECTACULAR views of the mountains.
